My favorite wines

I could easily write about a few 100 great wines. However these impressed me the most maybe it was the place where I drank them the moment or just my good mood, this is my list.

Best Gruner Veltliner Rosi Schuster "Aus Den Dörfern” This Burgenland wine has received good scores from various critics: the 2017 vintage was given a score of 92 by The Wine Advocate I love this wine a great value for the money.	Best Pinot Noir Ata Rangi Pinot Noir Ata Ranghi meaning “dawn sky” or “new beginning” is a small New Zealand winery with a renowned reputation for Pinot Noir. Ata Rangi Pinot Noir is undoubtedly the flagship wine, and in 2010 was honoured with the inaugural Tipuranga Teitei o Aotearoa or “Grand Cru of New Zealand”. With a skilled team in place, including dynamic winemaker Helen Masters “Picture in the middle of these wine crazy guys"	My favorite Riesling Kung Fu Girl It takes an unconventional winemaker to make a totally unexpected dry Riesling. One night, Charles was eating Chinese takeout and watching a fight scene in a notorious martial arts film when he had an idea: a killer white wine made to be paired with Asian food. Just like that, Kung Fu Girl was born. And it’s been kicking ass and taking names ever since.

Both Cabernet bottlings have aromas and flavors which can only be achieved through “hang time” – a technique which chances the loss of crop if early winter sets in. My favorite Spanish red Mauro Founded in 1980 by Mariano García in memory of his father, Bodegas Mauro has been committed to excellence from the very beginning. Balanced and elegant wines meant for aging	Best Austrian winehouse Weingut Alzinger Work by hand and growing grapes on steep slopes in harsh soils are the fundamental principles this family estate works by. Best adfordable Pinot Noir Clos des Fous Arenaria comes from vineyards in Pucalán, located eight kilometers from the sea in Aconcagua Costa. Vines are planted on ancient palezoic soils made up of deposits of marine creatures that have become rock arenaria. The soil has low fertility with a clay surface. The Pucalán vineyard consists of four hectares planted with a density of 10,000 plants per hectare. Pucalán is one of the first 100% Chilean vineyards planted with clonal material from Burgundy	Best New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon Pegasus Bay Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon Waipara Valley New Zealand The vines, which are almost 30 years old, were grown on a series of north facing gradually descending terraces in stony, free draining soil. We deliberately had a mixture of exposed and shaded fruit on the sauvignon blanc vines to ensure a wide spectrum of flavours. The semillon fruit, which naturally ripens later, was fully exposed to the sunlight.	Best Chenin Blanc Jean Daneel Signature Chenin Blanc is a superb barrel fermented and matured Chenin from one of South Africa's finest winemakers.

Here, the most vibrant variety of the Mediterranean zone, the Santorini Assyrtiko	My favorite wine Vosne Romanée Les Suchots 2001 Les Suchots the largest Premier Cru climat in the Vosne-Romanée appellation of Burgundy. This vineyard separates the Echezeaux and Romanee-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru sites and, like its prestigious neighbors, is planted entirely to Pinot Noir. Les Suchots regularly produces exceptional Premier Cru wines with a raft of top producers owning plots on the site.	Best affordable Shiraz Charles Melton Grains of Paradise Premium Barossa Red wines from Charles Melton are crafted to reflect the rhythm of the seasons, the richness of our earth and the quiet patience of it’s people.’Dry farmed, hand crafted.
The affordable Ribera del Deuro Garmón Garmón is the latest project of the respected García family who owns Mauro in Castilla y León and San Román in Toro. With 30 years of experience as winemaker at Vega Sicilia, Mariano García and his two sons, Alberto and Eduardo García Montaña, form a winning team. They have also been gathering experience in Ribera del Duero. Mariano is a partner at Aalto and the family consulted Astrales for many years.	The wine you need to drink Chateau Musar, Founded in the Bekaa Valley in 1930, is easily Lebanon's most famous wine producer. Gaston Hochar set up the vineyard after traveling through Bordeaux, and today the old vineyards are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsaut, Carignan and indigenous Lebanese grapes Obaideh and Merwah. Best people to drink wine with My son Tim & my wife Esther Tim isn’t a big drinker but when he does he only goes for quality “see d’Yquem” and without Esther wine isn’t just the same. You should drink great wine with great people. Don't bother to drink nice wine with people you don’t like, it just doesn’t taste the same.	Best Chilean wine Domus Aurea Cabernet Sauvignon Located in the foothills of the Andes Mountain Range, Viña Quebrada de Macul is recognized as one of the finest vineyards in the Maipo Valley.	Best sommelier's team The Queen Mary 2 inaugratual wine team. I worked for 2 years with this team and the amount of knowledge that i got from them is overwhelming, it was hard work but also a lot of fun to drink great wines with these guy’s.
Best sweet wine Chateau d’Yquem 1982 A special moment drinking it with my son’s 6th birthday in Barcelona. It is an absolute dream to taste d’Yquem once in your life	Best Blaufränkisch Moric The Moric winery deals exclusively with Blaufränkisch. In the villages Neckenmarkt and Lutzmannsburg, two strongholds of this grape variety, The winemaker Robert Velich and is the brains behind a few amazing wines.	Funniest way to drink wine Porrón a Catalan way to drink wine and pas it on without touching the bottle with your mouth “originally the shepherds used one made from sheep's leather”
